Saw a few fun cars today, passat 3.6 wagon and 72' dart

So this morning I decided against heading out to cars and coffee just because its been a hell of a week at school writing code, doing calc, and discrete math all week I figured I'd sleep past 7am. My brother and I decided to get up and grab breakfast and on my way out I stopped at a local gas station because I heard rumor from a friend that there was a 1972 dart for sale. I went to take a look and it was pretty much what I expected. Just a plain 4 door column shift 318 car. I wasn't really impressed even though it was decently clean and the guy only wanted $2000. If it was a 2 door in this kind of shape I would have been all over it but since it had some issues and it had too many doors to be cool I had to pass but Ill give you guys the pictures ! by the way the for sale sign said it has either 154,000 miles OR 254,000 miles because they didn't know ...

After this my brother and I had to run up to the local best buy because I'm about to throw my macbook pro out a window even though I'm a comp sci student. While I was up there though I saw a mad little Volkswagen that I have always lusted after. I spotted a Passat Wagon 3.6 with the 4motion all wheel drive. I've always wanted one of these but they are just so rare and I need that TDI milage right now. Anyone else like all the rare VW's like the 3.6 wagon or the w8 passats or the VR5's ? I've always enjoyed these quirky cars

Dude I love my TDI ! It just needs more balls on dead acceleration so I think I'm going to tune it soon. I can wind every gear out to 5,000 and it still doesnt go any faster hahah although thats fun sometimes ! BTW You got what I wanted, I wanted a JSW but it was just out of my price range and I wanted a manual and there was only one manual jetta tdi left within 6 hours of my house last october when I bought it( there were 2014 manuals but I wanted a 2013 because I got 4k off sticker)

Financed for $23.5k! It does need more balls, a Malone Stage 2 tune would fix that! 173WHP and 320 LB FT of torque!

I wish they made the AWD Passats with the 2.0. We bought an '08 wagon new and still have it. The 2.0T is a great motor, very fun to drive. Plus, the only way to get a manual was in the base car! I would have no problem paying for the AWD if it was a separate option. Snow tires do us just fine instead. Great, great car!

Undersandable, Its not cheap but from what I've heard its worth it. I think with the right mods a TDI would out run a GTI

Yeah the 2.0T is a great engine ! it really is too bad you couldn't get awd with it because then it really would be a jack of all trades.

That and performance parts are ridiculously expensive! (DPF delete downpipe is around $500! Normal gasoline dp is $200!) It is just ridiculous!

With snow tires there is no need for AWD, we've taken it through some frightening winter drives, one where our traveling companions in an AWD sienna minivan called and asked us to slow down because they couldn't keep it in their lane. I had thought I was going slow enough for them but the Passat on snows is so surefooted it just doesn't need AWD.

thats just because less people mod their diesels so it's more of a,specialty thing, I don't wanna do any exhaust mods just because I want it to stay quiet even though I love turbo noise
